Miguel is a board room consultants with more than 25 years of consulting experience in healthcare, government, education, finance and tourism. He worked in the Netherlands, the Caribbean, as well as the US and South America. Miguel is fluent in Dutch, English, Spanish and Papiamento.

Miguel has a fascination for governance of organizations, the globe and also personal governance. He studied political sciences and public administration. He was leading the Andersen Consulting practice in the Netherlands Antilles until he left Arthur Andersen in 2001 to get his PhD in public administration at Tilburg University in The Netherlands (2005). He always remained in contact with Pim and other friends from AA.

Until he joined Reconsulting in 2018 Miguel worked as an independent consultant for Goede Consultants. Over the years, Miguel became even more passionate about (corporate) governance and Small Island Developing States. He opened a virtual institute called the University of Governance to offer courses on these matters.

Miguel is married to Graciela. They have two children. The couple lives and operates from the island of Curacao. Besides serving clients, Miguel enjoys swimming in the blue sea, biking and running. He reads, writes and publishes on topics like the future of work, smart cities and the future of democracy.
